Truth:  I love taking photos of my kids but... it can be really hard. Tedious in fact. Let's talk about what was happening in this photo. I was wearing a beanie because I hadn't washed my hair in about 5 days. I was trying really hard to get a portrait with both of my kids in it.. my son was screaming off to the side, refusing to sit for a photo. My daughter (above) was acting crazy, running back and forth in complete silliness.  Honestly, I was annoyed with her.  Looking back on this photo, I want to remember - it's not always about the final product, but the process.

Life is hard. Motherhood is hard... And we're inviting you to be honest about it. To find comfort in knowing you are not alone.  We are on a quest:  to feed our souls.  To make gratitude a daily practice. To look outside of ourselves, to break open our hearts and look at what is most important in our lives. To be mindful of how we act and what we say to our children, and how we say it. To remember more is caught than taught.  To be aware of how we treat our husbands.  And how we treat ourselves.

"Do more. Spend more. Be more."  We are constantly smacked in the face by these messages. Even more so being Mothers. There are always more products to buy, more activities to engage in, and a constant pressure to be good at it all.  Simplicity sounds easy, yet simple living requires intentionality and restraint. We are committed to guide you to think differently about what you have and what you do... perhaps the truth really is: less is more.

We all want to be free. Free to enjoy our lives, express ourselves, and ultimately be accepted and loved for who we are. So then, what does it look like to truly be free in Motherhood? To fully embrace and enjoy who we are? Our kids do not always remember every detail we say or every task we accomplish, but they most certainly will remember how we made them feel. With this in mind, we are passionate about bringing fun into our lives and having our kids see our freedom and catch our joy.

IN A NUTSHELL

Motherhood has been done a billion times by a billion mothers. But what if it could be done with more honesty, simplicity, and freedom?  We want to provide you with the type of content that inspires you to be honest about your struggles and triumphs, to ask deeper questions, to simplify when possible, to try new things, explore who you are, and have fun doing it.
